Rock and Roll 1/2 Marathon

Ready or not...not being the case with me, the Rock and Roll is almost 2 weeks away. Here is the course as best I could figure it out on mapmyrun.com. Looks like there is a slight hill around mile 9 but for the most part nothing is over 2% incline which is nothin!

May 23rd Run / Bike for Andy

Hello girls,

WOW, it's been a long time! I know some of us aren't training for a marathon like Kath and Linds but we should probably get our booties in gear so we actually survive this half marathon in almost a month!

Let's do the following run on Saturday for any of you interested. I know Stace and I are doing it with a special guest appearance from Andy who will be biking the route along with us. I'm not sure how good a workout it will be peddling 2mph next to us but at least he can carry water :).

It's a pretty familiar run but when we get to Montlake playfields we will take a slightly different route to get back to Lake Union and YES there is a nice hill in there, but it's nothing we can't handle!

Let's plan on a 10AM PT arrival time at Gasworks and go from there!

After the run Kath and I plus doggies are planning a trip to Discovery Park beach if anyone would like to come!

Who is ready for a Marathon?

Ok, time to get to work. It is going to be a hot one tomorrow. Hydration is Key. I will been trying out the new "FanyPack" water bottle included. :-) It is going to be a life saver.
Here are some options.

This one is my fave. It will take some take us to all our favorite spots.

The choice is yours....

Easter Weekend Running

Happy Easter weekend girls. Since we are going our sort of separate ways this weekend let's all try to do at least 6 miles to keep the distance up there. Stace and I will be completing the below 6 miler in the Tri's even though Stace really hoped there was an Easter 5K to do instead.

Also, during our run last week Linds, Stace and myself decided to try out a slightly different training program in preparation for our Rock and Roll in June. Instead of ramping up the mileage every week we are going to ramp it up every other week and run a 6-7 miler in between the longer long runs. We can start this next weekend by running 8 miles if you all are interested.

Happy Running!!

Happy Weekend Off

Perfect weekend to take off from our long run. I am putting together a couple routes for next weekend. I will need some feedback on which option better suits the group and how much hill action we want to tackle.

Here is a fun website that Tommy's Mom showed me. It tracks past races and results. Pretty cool. Check it out....
