Just Trust Me...

Ok, so here is the REAL run for the weekend. It promises a lot of action.....neighborhoods, downtown areas, and nature parks all rolled into one! You will get views of both land and water as well as experience the joys of two different area codes--the 206 and the 425. I believe that on examining the route a few of you may have some questions and/or concerns. Let me put your mind at ease.

1. A portion of the run looks like we are running on I-90 against traffic. This is actually a running/biking trail on the island which is not on I-90 but runs pretty close to it. However, we will be running on the I-90 pedestrian lane between the stretch of MI and Bellevue (but this is considerably shorter that running over the bridge between MI and Seattle which we AREN'T doing on this run)

2. A portion of this route looks like its an out and back. Well that's kinda true. Unfortunately there is only one way to get back to the island from bellevue so we are back tracking some. Unless you guys wanna swim on Lake Washington, but the triathlon trainings haven't started yet to my knowledge. I'm sorry, I know we all are anti out and backs but you're just gonna have to get over it. You go girl!

3. It looks like we are running aimlessly through Mercer Slough park. I did some research and this park has paved trails. I have examined a trail map which I will be taking with us on the run (Just in case) and based on the map indicated the best I could where we'd be running on the map my run.

In short, you guys are just gonna have to trust me. Bring a compass just in case. KIDDING! Also bring your good attitudes....this baby may have a hill or 2....

Let me know thoughts on a good meeting time, apparently there are some discrepancies among the team.

  1. I would like to direct your attention to NOAA weather for a moment to provide evidence that we should run on SATURDAY! Sunday has a 70% change of rain. I would be willing to run as late as noon if you gals need time to recover. Stace...the run looks great...I love trying new things :)
